Ethan Smith
Board Member
I am honored to serve as a board member of Warriors and Caregivers United, where I have the opportunity to support our country's veterans and their dedicated caregivers. My background as a U.S. Marine Corps Military Police Officer has given me firsthand insight into the sacrifices made by service members and the unique challenges they face. This experience has inspired my dedication to serving those who have given so much for our freedom.
In addition to my military service, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Defense and Information Assurance from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from the University of Detroit Mercy. I am committed to leveraging my skills and expertise to enhance the security and efficiency of the systems that support veterans and their families.
I have been married since 2016 to my wife, who is not only my partner and best friend but also my faithful companion in our Christian walk. Together, we are committed to living out our love for the Lord Jesus Christ, who is at the center of everything we do, including our work at WACU. We are blessed with a wonderful daughter, who has a passion for excelling in school and also shares in our love for Christ.
We are active members of our church, Southside Baptist Tabernacle in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Anyone is welcome to join us for worship at 6710 Textile Road to learn of, or grow with, the only true source of peace, purpose, and restoration of all things.
Through my involvement with Warriors and Caregivers United, I am deeply committed to ensuring that veterans and their caregivers receive the respect, care, and support they deserve. Whether advocating for policies, nurturing a community and sense of hope, or providing direct events or service, I am dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those who have served our country and those who support them.
